About Boston Terrier

The French Terrier, commonly known as the French Bulldog, is a small but sturdy dog with a muscular, compact body and a distinctive “bat-like” ear shape. With a broad, square head, short flat muzzle, and expressive round eyes, it exudes charm and curiosity. Its smooth, short coat comes in a variety of colors, including brindle, fawn, cream, and pied. Friendly, affectionate, and playful, the French Terrier thrives on human companionship and adapts well to apartment living, making it a devoted family pet. While generally healthy, it can be prone to breathing issues and overheating due to its flat face, so care and moderation in activity are important.

What to Avoid

Boston Terriers are a sensitive breed, so it’s important to avoid feeding them certain human foods that can be toxic or harmful. Foods like chocolate, grapes, raisins, onions, garlic, and macadamia nuts can cause serious health issues ranging from digestive upset to organ failure. They should also avoid avocado, alcohol, caffeine, xylitol (found in sugar-free products), fatty or fried foods, and cooked bones, all of which can lead to vomiting, pancreatitis, or even life-threatening complications. Sticking to dog-safe foods and treats ensures that Boston Terriers stay healthy, energetic, and happy.
