About Boxer
The Boxer is a medium to large-sized dog known for its muscular build, square jaw, and expressive face. Originating in Germany in the late 19th century, Boxers were initially bred as working dogs for hunting and guarding, but they quickly became cherished family companions due to their loyalty, intelligence, and playful nature. Adult males typically weigh 65–80 pounds, while females weigh 50–65 pounds, with a height of 21–25 inches at the shoulder. Boxers are high-energy and affectionate, making them excellent for active families, especially those with children. They have a short coat that commonly appears in fawn, brindle, or white with markings, and with proper care, exercise, and socialization, Boxers remain healthy, friendly, and protective pets.

What to Avoid
Boxers should never be fed chocolate, caffeine, grapes, raisins, onions, garlic, or foods containing xylitol, as these can cause fatal organ damage or severe illness. Cooked bones and fatty table scraps should also be avoided because they can splinter, cause blockages or trigger pancreatitis. Highly salty snacks and many dairy products are likewise risky due to sodium overload or lactose intolerance. Keeping your Boxer on a balanced commercial diet and reserving human food for safe treats will help maintain their health.
